Blake, A.K.A. Experiment 583, is an illegal genetic experiment created by Jumba Jookiba. He is designed to be a voracious eater.
Experiment 583 was the 583rd genetic experiment created by Jumba with Hämsterviel's funding. He was designed to be a voracious eater. Jumba kept 583 activated, along with quite a few other experiments, during the time of 626's creation, possibly implying that Blake was a prototype for 626, or that Jumba fed 583 leftovers. Eventually, 583 and the other first 624 experiments were deactivated and smuggled to Earth by Jumba during his mission to capture Experiment 626.
All of the experiment pods were released and scattered across the island of Kauai.
At an unknown point, 583 was activated, tamed, and named Blake.
The first 624 experiments, including Blake, were rounded up by Leroy and taken to a stadium to be destroyed. However, Lilo, Stitch, Jumba, Pleakley, Reuben and Gantu arrived before the experiments could be destroyed.
It is unknown whether Blake participated in the following battle between the experiments and the Leroy clones.
The Leroys soon gained the upper hand in the battle, but were defeated when Lilo, Stitch, Reuben and several other experiments performed the song "Aloha ʻOe", which caused the Leroy army to shut down due to the original Leroy's fail-safe.
Blake is a red fly-like experiment with a bear-like head, orange circles around his eyes, somewhat large ears, a yellow jaw and underbelly, long frog-like legs, and small rigid wings. He bears a resemblance to the experiment Icecrusher (595), as well as the character Faffy from the Disney show Dave the Barbarian.
Blake is said to have a boundless appetite, and has the ability to expel flames and electrical bolts via mouth.
- This experiment was mentioned in Disney's Stitch: Experiment 626 as a flying experiment.
- The ability to breathe fire is another parody of the Dave the Barbarian character Faffy, as he is a fire-breathing dragon.
- A few frames of Blake seen in the comics displayed bubbles trailing him, appearing to come out of his patookie.
- Blake's pod color is blue.
