Butter, also known as Experiment 227, is an illegal genetic experiment created by Jumba Jookiba and a character in the Lilo & Stitch franchise. He is designed to batter through thick doors and barricades.

Background and appearances[]

Experiment 227 was the 227th genetic experiment created by Jumba with Hämsterviel's funding. He was designed to batter through thick doors and barricades. 227 and the other first 624 experiments were deactivated and smuggled to Earth by Jumba during his mission to capture Experiment 626.

All of the experiment pods were released and scattered across the island of Kauai.

Lilo & Stitch: The Series[]

At some point, 227 was presumably activated, captured, tamed, and named Butter.

Leroy & Stitch[]

The first 624 experiments, including Butter, were rounded up by Leroy and taken to a stadium to be destroyed. However, Lilo, Stitch, Jumba, Pleakley, Reuben and Gantu arrived before the experiments could be destroyed.

Butter participated in the following battle between the experiments and the Leroy clones.

The Leroys soon gained the upper hand in the battle, but were defeated when Lilo, Stitch, Reuben and several other experiments performed the song "Aloha ʻOe", which caused the Leroy army to shut down due to the original Leroy's fail-safe.

Biology[]

Physical appearance[]

Butter is a large, quadrupedal, tan mammoth-like experiment with a large head, four bulky legs with two external toes, two tiny little antennae, a big round green nose instead of a trunk, green markings on his back, a big hump near his face, and tusks as large as the entire front of his body.

Special abilities[]

Butter can batter through thick doors by using his tusks and large head.

Trivia[]

  • Butter, along with Gigi, Dorkifier, Nosox, Shortstuff, Spike, Yang, Richter, Phoon, Tank, Splodyhead, and one unconfirmed experiment, are the only known experiments that are primarily quadrupeds.
    • Both Butter and the unconfirmed experiment (a large green Ankylosaurus/hippopotamus-like experiment with a big nose and mouth, two stubby antennae, and a large, spiked beaver-like tail) debuted in Leroy & Stitch.
  • Butter's name was only confirmed via a storyboard drawing shared online by Tony Craig.
