"Nosy" is the twenty-fifth episode of Lilo & Stitch: The Series. It aired on December 19, 2003.

Plot[]

Nani invites her prospective boss home to demonstrate the spirit of ʻohana. Lilo has a crush on the boss's son Keoni. Before the visit, they find an experiment that is designed to snoop around and dig up dirt on the enemy. The experiment is so annoying that Lilo and Stitch give Nosy to Gantu. Nosy then annoys Gantu and Hämsterviel so much that they release him. He returns to Lilo's house just in time to finish the visit with Nani's boss. In the end, Nosy returns to Gantu's ship and spreads rumors about Gantu to Reuben.

Goofs[]

  • The Disney+ captions do not match up with the dialogue at certain points.
    • When Stitch tackles the "little kid" (Nosy) after he spoiled the ending and tells Lilo that he is not a "kid", but a "cousin", the subtitles read "hasan" instead of "cousin" like Stitch said. This mistake could be due to Stitch's unique, highly nasal accent, however.
    • When Jumba pretends to greet himself to Pleakley's sock puppets of Mr. Jameson and Keoni for etiquette practice, saying that he's an "evil genius scientist from planet Quelte Quan," the captions read "evil genius scientist from Planet Turo" instead, even though "Turo" is a completely different and much shorter name.
  • When Nosy meets Reuben, and in all the scenes of Nosy with Hämsterviel, he has a stumpy tail.

Trivia[]

  • Moral: Don't stick your nose in other people's affairs.
  • Lilo is revealed to keep a diary, which Nosy managed to dig up.
  • According to Jumba, Nosy is one of his favorite experiments.
  • This episode further emphasizes the humans' blindness to the aliens, as Keoni and his father neither believed Nosy about Lilo's family having aliens (including Nosy himself), nor did they take into account about Gantu, despite seeing them out in the open.
  • When Keoni was discussing about crushes which Nosy was talking about, he admitted that he did have one on Pleakley in "Hunkahunka", but Keoni revealed that he only had it for about a week.
  • When Stitch breathes into his hand and claims his breath to be minty fresh, the table flowers wilted shortly after. This contradicts Stitch's claim and confirms Lilo's statement she wrote about Stitch having really bad breath, which Nosy revealed to him.
  • When Nosy is given to Gantu as a present, Nosy pronounces his number as "one-ninety-nine", rather than the typical by-digit pronunciation (which would be "one-nine-nine" in Nosy's case).
  • The green ham (courtesy of Jumba's nuclear technology) is a likely reference to the children's book Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.
  • According to Hämsterviel's diary (which Nosy managed to steal), he sleeps with a pacifier, wears platform shoes to look threatening, and his real name is Rupert.
    • Hämsterviel himself also disclosed that he has a dander problem.
  • According to Nosy, Gantu wears bunny slippers and has an obsession with karaoke. Aptly enough, the latter was exploited in "Snafu".
  • In the episode "Shortstuff", Stitch used the same "Kenny" boy disguise.
