Tarantula, A.K.A. Experiment 522, is an illegal genetic experiment created by Jumba Jookiba. She is designed to wrap enemies up in webs. (Does so by spinning silky web-like material from her abdomen). Her one true place is knitting things with web as thread with a fashion designer.


Experiment 522 was the 522nd genetic experiment created by Jumba with Hämsterviel's funding. She was designed to make you scared of spiders and web people up.

522 and the other first 624 experiments were deactivated and smuggled to Earth by Jumba during his mission to capture Experiment 626.

All of the experiment pods were released and scattered across the island of Kauai.

Lilo & Stitch: The Series

At an unknown point, 522 was presumably activated, tamed, and named Tarantula.

Leroy & Stitch

All 624 experiments, including Tarantula, were round up by Leroy and taken to a stadium to be destroyed. However, Lilo, Stitch, Jumba, Pleakley, Reuben and Gantu arrived before the experiments could be destroyed.

It is unknown whether or not Tarantula participated in the following battle between the experiments and the Leroy clones.

The Leroys soon gained the upper hand in the battle, but were defeated when Lilo, Stitch, Reuben and several other experiments performed the song Aloha Oe, which caused the Leroy army to shut down due to the original Leroy's failsafe.



Tarantula is is a purple spider-like experiment with a blue nose and 4 eyes.

Special Abilities

Tarantula can shoot webs. Her webbing is incredibly strong and very durable.

  • Experiment 627 has the powers of 20 other experiments, and he once displayed the ability to shoot glowing webs, possibly indicating that Tarantula is one of them.
